All vans can be driven with a category B license. The Italian Highway Code uses two main criteria—number of passenger seats and total vehicle weight—to classify vehicles that can be driven with a B license. These vehicles, which fall under the group of vans, are included in the Highway Code (art.47) in category N (“motor vehicles intended for the transport of goods, with at least four wheels”) and N1 (“vehicles intended for the transport of goods, with a maximum mass not exceeding 3.5 tons”). Vans are classified as light commercial vehicles, mainly used for transporting goods (but also usable for transporting people), equipped with a driver's cab (able to accommodate up to a maximum of 3 people), usually integrated into the bodywork, and a rear compartment accessible via side doors, usually sliding, or a rear tailgate. Regarding the first criterion, the law states that with a B license it is possible to drive all vehicles intended for the transport of people with up to 9 seats (including the driver); this means you can drive a 9-seater minibus with a B license.

The contract holder does not necessarily have to be the driver of the rented vehicle. In this case, the contract holder's ID card and tax code are required, and the driver must have a category B license issued at least 12 months prior. The license must be valid and visible, which means we cannot accept substitute documents or reports in case you have lost it or it has been stolen. We also accept valid foreign licenses.

All the following rates are inclusive of VAT, insurance, winter chains and vehicle cleaning.

The minimum age for rental is 25 years and the maximum age is 70 years.
